The
New Mexico Dance Coalition hosts three events yearly:
Since 1986, the New Mexico Dance Coalition (NMDC)
has provided valuable services to the New Mexico dance community: producing
yearly inclusive choreographic and ethnic dance performances. We are
proud to continue to deliver high quality programming and opportunities
to the dance community through the MonoMundo show
on the Santa Fe Plaza, the Choreographers’ Showcase held
at the Railyard Performance Center and the Winter Forum. These
three events continue to be refined and reshaped each year due to audience
and participant feedback with the goal of getting better each year in the
diversity and quality of the artists who participate.
Held annually March/April- The
Choreographer's Showcase
2011 dates: March 25-26th at the Railyard
Performance Center.
Held annually July on the
Santa Fe Plaza Bandstand - MonoMundo
Held annually November - Winter Forum,
an Exploration in Dance
Combining the feel of a Workshop and Casual
Performance. This forum is to designed to present works in progress and
to get feedback from the audience and other participants, also with the
goal of presenting said piece completed by March/April for the choreographers
showcase. The Feedback process of this workshop/presentation will be lead
by a choreographer using the Critical Response Process by Liz Lerman. To
