Company History
The NMDC was founded, in the spirit of self-help, by four dancers in 1986; it was incorporated in the same year. The organization was granted 501 c3 not-for-profit status in 1989. Since inception, NMDC directors and officers, the majority of whom are dance professionals, have served as unpaid volunteers.
Mission Statement
The New Mexico Dance Coalition is a non-profit service organization whose mission is to develop and promote dance arts within New Mexico, and to provide and facilitate advocacy, networking, information sharing and administrative services to the dance community.
